Design Factory Brief

‘This year’s creative brief, Status: Consumption for self-identification, has been developed with Designs of the Year 2014 nominees, PAN Studio. With this year’s brief they ask you to consider:

How can we design new objects, spaces and systems to affect the way people see themselves and the role they fulfill?

The brief draws on the museum’s upcoming exhibitions, Women Fashion Power (29 October 2014 – April 2015) and Designers in Residence (10 September 2014 – 1 February 2015), as well as taking inspiration from PAN Studio’s experience design practice and user-centric approaches.

Students must submit 4 design boards answering the following three components to the brief:

Design Museum Research, Identifying and Investigating Potential Users and Design Development and Solution.’
